For many of the 250,000 survivors Safe Horizon partners with each year, a few minutes is all they have to decide what to take with them as they’re fleeing a violent situation.

“The Things We Carry,” visually explores what survivors are able to bring with them as they start their journey toward healing, featuring the work of critically acclaimed photographer, Kelly Marshall and stylist, Philippa Brathwaite.
