CEO Ariel Zwang’s statement on the confirmation of Neomi Rao to the federal bench: “We work with thousands of victims of sexual assault every year, so we know we need to make it easier for survivors to hold their abusers accountable. We’re deeply troubled by the confirmation of Neomi Rao, who has indicated she believes the opposite. 1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men experience sexual violence. There is no place on the federal bench for a judge who will not support survivors. We invite Ms. Rao to meet with us so she can understand first-hand the many challenges survivors face and the critical role judges can play in helping survivors to heal.“
