What is SafeChat?
SafeChat is a one-on-one chat session with a Safe Horizon client advocate trained in supporting those who have experienced violence, crime, and abuse in New York City. Advocates can talk to you about your situation, ask questions and help you explore your options. Advocates can also provide information and referrals, as well as help connect you to other Safe Horizon programs.

If you need to speak to an advocate over the phone, please call our 24/7 Hotline at 1-800-621-HOPE (4673). If this is an emergency, please call 911.
SafeChat is available to support users in several languages including: English, Arabic, Bengali, French, Haitian Creole, Korean, Mandarin, Polish, Russian, Spanish, and Urdu.
