Since 1978, we have been providing compassion and support for individuals and families affected by community and interpersonal violence across all five boroughs of New York City. Safe Horizon partners with governmental and other community agencies and also advocates for policies on a local, state, and national level on behalf of those affected by violence and abuse.
Safe Horizon’s advocacy was instrumental in the passage of the New York Child Victims Act. Now, we’re working to pass the Adult Survivors Act (ASA) so that more of New York’s sexual assault survivors can obtain justice.
