The singer and actress, who recently revealed her own experience surviving abuse, visited a Safe Horizon shelter in New York City Wednesday before attending the organization’s Champion Awards. There, Kramer was presented with the Voice of Empowerment Award for telling her story openly, as well as working with Safe Horizon on their national anti-domestic violence campaign, #PutTheNailinIt.
