A number of Safe Horizon programs can help you determine if an order of protection is right for you.
Criminal Courts
In our Court-based Reception Centers, survivors and witnesses in Criminal Court cases have a safe space to wait, meet with a case manager, and access services—including information about the criminal justice process and advocacy with the District Attorney’s office and court staff.
Domestic Violence Law Project
Our attorneys represent and advise survivors of domestic abuse in cases involving custody, visitation, divorce, orders of protection, and child support.
Family Justice Center
At the Manhattan Family Justice Center, we serve walk-in survivors of domestic and gender-based violence and their children, providing access to case management, economic empowerment, counseling, and both civil and criminal legal assistance.
How to get help
You can reach our programs by phone or in person, or you may be referred directly by someone in the criminal or civil justice systems.
