October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. As part of our Make a Difference 2016 efforts, Americas Compliance is partnering with Safe Horizon to raise awareness and much needed funds for victims of domestic and intimate partner violence through the #PuttheNailinIt campaign.
How to participate
The key feature of Safe Horizon’s #PuttheNailinIt campaign is to raise awareness in a simple, stylish way:
- Donate to Safe Horizon through Barclays’ dedicated fundraising page using the form below.
- Funds raised through this channel are eligible for the Barclays Matched Fundraising program.
- Paint your left ring fingernail any shade of purple. To make it easier, we will provide free polish every Tuesday in October at nail painting stations, staffed by Compliance volunteers.• When: October 4, 11, 18 & 25 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
• Where: Conference Room 13A, 13th Floor – 745 Seventh Avenue
We will also be collecting personal care items to create portable kits for those displaced by domestic violence. Donated items will be collected in bins stationed outside the nail painting stations throughout the month. For more information, please contact Iris Gold.
