Safe Horizon Appoints Two New Members to Board of Directors

NEW YORK – Safe Horizon, the nation’s largest victim services agency, today announced the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors.

The recently appointed members are Dana Codispoti, a global human resources executive with 20+ years of experience across multiple industries and geographies and former Transformation Lead and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Human Resources (HR), AIG; and, Veronica Gontier, Managing Vice President of Marketing, Card Site & Analytics for the US Credit Card Business, Capital One.

“I am honored to welcome Dana and Veronica to our board. Their leadership, expertise and dedication to championing Safe Horizon’s mission will be tremendous assets in our work,” said Jeff Brodsky, Board Chair.

Safe Horizon helps 250,000 New Yorkers a year who are survivors of crime or abuse find safety, support, connection and hope. The board supports Safe Horizon’s vision of a society free from violence and abuse.

Codispoti drives strategy to execution, emphasizing the “human” in Human Resources. She most recently served as Transformation Lead and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for HR at AIG. Prior to AIG, she held senior-level positions at BNY Mellon, Morgan Stanley and PwC. Codispoti earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from the University of Georgia.

Gontier is a marketing leader whose experience spans industries such as consumer, retail, fashion, health & wellness, and financial services. Prior to her current role at Capital One, she led Marketing and Customer Analytics at Macy’s, Tory Burch and SoulCycle. She has deep expertise leading growth and digital transformation through the use of big data analytics, marketing, and technology to create strategies that balance value creation through acquisition and customer engagement. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
