Description:The Supervising Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plays an active role in the establishment of the Safe Horizon Counseling Center as an evidence-based practice Center of Excellence and the mental health treatment hub of the agency. In addition to providing staff clinical and administrative supervision, the Supervising LCSW assists in the development and implementation of the SHCC Residency Program by conducting specific workshops and through the development of various protocols. The Supervising LCSW also provides licensed trauma-focused individual, group and family psychotherapy to children and adults. The Supervising LCSW functions as part of the clinic’s leadership through the facilitation of various subcommittees and work groups of SHCC’s Best Practices Committee.

Responsibilities:• Provides individual supervision in the array of evidence-based, trauma-focused treatments implemented at the Counseling
• Center
• Provides individual, group, collateral and family trauma-focused treatment to a reduced caseload to further develop and maintain proficiency in the clinic’s evidence-based treatments
• Provides weekly treatment-specific group supervision
• Assists with the development and implementation of all training activities in the Residency Program
• Is a weekly contributing member of the Case Disposition and a regular contributing member of the Clinical Conference Team
• Supervises graduate interns and/or therapist contractors
• Actively participates in the clinic’s Best Practices initiatives and maintains continuous leadership in at least two of the Best Practices subcommittees
• Monitors compliance of supervisees documentation of all case activities in accordance with Safe Horizon NYSOMH, DOHMH, and HIPAA regulations on a weekly basis
• Represents Safe Horizon and the Counseling Center through case coordination, clinical consultation or community presentations
• Provides Supervisor On-Call coverage

Qualifications:• Ability to supervise and teach TFCBT, CPP, Seeking Safety, ITCT, and/or SPARCS
• Knowledge of OMH, DOHMH, and HIPAA regulations with the ability to monitor the compliance
• Superior assessment and crisis intervention skills (suicidality, homicidality, child abuse reporting)
• Excellent interpersonal skills required (including written, verbal, presentation and clinical engagement skills)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Qualifications:

• The minimum credential for this position is LCSW (limited permit with application for LCSW licensure will be considered with exceptional experience)
• Two years of Article 31 experience
• Two years of experience practicing TFCBT, CPP, Seeking Safety, ITCT, and/or SPARCS
• SIFI Certification
