Description:Safe Horizon, Inc.’s Domestic Violence Shelters Department offers a comprehensive range of services to domestic violence survivors. These services include the provision of safe and secure shelter, counseling, advocacy, intervention, and support to meet the needs of shelter residents and their families.

Responsibilities:The Coordinator role is essential to the operations of the Domestic Violence Shelters Department. The Coordinator’s functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct data analysis of New Destiny surveys, Key Indicators, Range of Stay, Capital One, etc.
• Draft funder reports as requested
• Ensure accurate response and timely submission of assigned applications, reports, revisions, and responses, to maintain state and local licensing and funding including but not limited to: OCFS, OTDA, HRA and other regulatory entities
• Conduct reviews on related program paperwork completion procedures and policies
• Serve as a liaison between the DV Shelters Department and other Safe Horizon Departments;
• Serve as a secondary point of contact for each of the 9 shelters
• Other related tasks as assigned.
• Design group training sessions for new employees on billing and data collection procedures
• Collaborate with the Program Assistant to plan training sessions for Shelter Program Assistant staff members on a routine basis.

• Ensure the accuracy and quality of monthly shelter billing submissions, providing feedback and instruction to shelter administrative teams in collaboration with the Administrative Director.
• Coordinate the monthly shelter billing submissions from 9 shelter sites to the NYC HRA.
• Reconcile payment reimbursement information received from the NYC Human Resources Administration (HRA) and coordinating appropriate responses from Directors
• Ensure and coordinate quality monthly shelter out of county billing submissions.
• Create and disseminate billing submission reports to departmental leadership.
• Assist the Administrative Director to monitor for quality and improvement opportunities in the areas of billing, supporting documentation, and deadline adherence.
• Collaborate with the Finance Department around payment reimbursements/recoupments from HRA and Out of County agencies.
• Create and maintain relevant reports as requested.

• Follow all departmental and agency protocols for professional communication with internal and external entities
• Communicate with the NYC HRA in matters related to billing submissions, procedures and protocols.
• Disseminate NYC HRA specific information to all 9 shelters through memorandums.
• Serve as a liaison, when needed, to communicate with city and state agencies in relation to shelter licensing procedures and submissions.

Qualifications:• B.A. degree with a strong foundation in quantitative analysis and/or financial analysis
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Ability to multi-task
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Intermediate to advanced analytical skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Intermediate knowledge of Power Point
• Basic knowledge of Outlook
• Proficiency in business writing, including drafting departmental responses to governmental agencies and completing operating certificate applications for submission to OCFS
• Proven ability to work well individually as well as in a team
• Previous work experience involving quantitative and/or financial analysis
• Previous work experience in providing administrative support to managerial staff
• Knowledge of domestic violence
