Description:This position will play a key role in administering Safe Horizon’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS), including analyzing, developing, implementing, self-service capabilities, managerial workflow, and generating customized reports. The HRIS/HR Generalist will collaborate and partner with assigned departments and help identify issues, make recommendations and work with stakeholders on HR issues and projects involving employee relations and HRIS reporting and analysis. S/he will be expected to support and drive talent management initiatives in the assigned program units as well as HR policy initiatives.

Primary Job Functions:

HRIS:
• Produce informational reporting and analysis via HRIS and Excel to support all functional areas of HR, Senior Management, and organizational initiatives, including HR and Workforce performance measures/scorecard and all mandatory audit reporting for AAP, EEO, OFCCP, and 5500s.
• Provide system support for core HRIS, benefits, recruitment, employee and manager self-service tool.
• Provides ad-hoc reporting and analysis regarding industry compensation metrics and other HRIS reporting.
• Will be responsible for troubleshooting HRIS data issues, escalating and managing issues through system vendors as needed.
• Design, and oversee HRIS workflow to ensure continuity and successful delivery of HRIS services to the agency.
• Ensure optimal efficiency and data integrity of HRIS.
• Serve as interface with IT, Finance, Payroll, internal, and external clients for HRIS needs.
• Develop and provide periodic HRIS training for users
• Identify and implement HRIS modifications and customizations to optimize utilization.
• Participates in job/ organizational realignment and in implementing and interpreting compensation /benefit policies and procedures.
• Partners with Senior Director on market pricing/compensation initiatives.
• Facilitates, as needed, on team development, strategy planning, reorganization, and change management efforts.
• Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing Federal and State labor requirements and furnish year-end mandatory reports

HR GENERALIST:
• Provide assistance in managing employee relations issues by coaching and counseling client group leaders on performance management and other HR matters.
• Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints, employment litigation, and workplace grievances.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and with external agents such as governmental agencies and contract funders.
• Provide counsel and support to management on the appropriate interpretation and application of human resources policies, including support and counsel on organizational structure and workflow management.
• Monitor and communicate on issues affecting, productivity and quality of work-life.
Responsibilities:• BA/BS degree in MIS, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline desirable
• PHR/SPHR preferred

Required Experience:

• Knowledge of HRIS database functionality, reporting writing and running queries is highly desired.
• Non-profit experience preferred.
• Expert technical knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Strong ability to conduct statistical analysis
• Demonstrated knowledge of HR relevant laws and policies
• Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks, and shifting priorities under tight deadlines
• Demonstrated strategic planning, project management, and resource allocation skills
• Effective interpersonal/customer service skills, presentation and public speaking skills
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff members within the agency
• Understanding of relevant employment laws

Qualifications:Required Education:
