Position:Human Resources Generalist/Staffing

Location:2 Lafayette Street
Description:Provide human resources consultative services to client group by providing guidance on employee relations policies and practices. Function as primary HR contact for all client group employees.
Manage the recruitment process for open and forecasted positions for specific departments and/or job classes within the organization. Create and implement staffing strategies as needed.
Responsibilities:HR Generalist
Support client group leaders regarding their employee relations, performance management and other HR issues.
Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints, employment litigation, and workplace grievances.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external agents such as governmental agencies and contract funders.
Provide counsel and support to management on the appropriate interpretation and application of human resources policies, including support and counsel on organizational structure and workflow management.
Monitor and communicate issues affecting productivity and quality of work-life.
Conducts new hire employee surveys, analyzes data and makes recommendations to improve recruitment and on-boarding processes.
Conduct exit interviews, compile data and communicate information to managers.

Handle full cycle recruiting functions in collaboration with the hiring managers.
Develop and executes external recruitment program that integrates various methods including online job boards, campus recruiting and work force job programs and vendors.
Manage internal job posting program including screening of current employees for promotion or transfer consideration.
Screen, interview and recommend applicants to managers for further review and assist managers with interview and selection process as needed.
Initiates new hire on-boarding process, including pre-employment documents and background check.
Conducts new hire orientation.
Manages job postings and maintains a current job listing
Administers online skills assessments as needed
Consults with management to recommend candidates, starting salaries, etc.
Assures that applicant data flow charts are completed for all filled positions

Qualifications:Required skills

Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to multitask and manage assignments independently
Ability to communicate and work with various department and employee levels
Ability to work with all organizational levels
An ability to analyze work force issues and make appropriate recommendations.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience utilizing ADP- HRB desired, experience with an HRIS program required.
Microsoft office skills are essential


BA in related field or combination of equivalent work experience and training.
3-5 years HR generalist experience is required
3-5 years experience creating and managing diverse recruitment programs and sources.
Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems and job boards.
Experience advising and coaching managers on employee relations issues.
Not-for-Profit experience a plus
