How does a personal fundraising page work?A personal fundraising page lets you create your own donation projects for an organization that you support (such as Safe Horizon). With our pages, you can add or modify images and messages for your project. Donations made to your page also go directly to the organization – so you don’t need to worry about how to send funds in.
How do I start creating my own fundraising project to help Safe Horizon?You can start your own project by clicking here. Choose a project based on what interests you the most – whether it’s for a specific program, on behalf of an organization, to honor someone, or to help where it’s most needed.
I want to raise funds on behalf of my school/organization. How do I do that?Just go to our Fundraising Projects homepage and select “Special Groups” to choose the pages that let you raise funds on behalf of your organization or school.
Once I create a page, how do I log back into it?It’s easy to get back to your page, whether you want to make changes to your goals or message, to get the URL to send to your network, or see your project’s progress. Just login here.
Can I add my own title and message to my page?You can add your own title and message once you create a page. We’ve created default messages which you can modify, remove – or leave as is if they’re relevant!
I’ve logged into my account but don’t see my fundraising projects listed.You can find your fundraising projects listed under the “Donations & Fundraising” tab (at the top of the page) and then see which campaigns and projects you’ve started.
How do I share my fundraising project page with my family (friends, co-workers, etc.)?Once you create your page, you can send a “tell-a-friend” message to people in your network to share your page with others. Just click the link that says “Send this page to your friends” to reach the page, and then you can modify the default message to tell your network about your fundraising project.
Will I be able to see how many donations and/or people have donated to my page?Yes, you can! You can see the progress toward your donation goal on your page directly (it appears right below your message on your page); to see who’s donated to your page and how much, you’ll need to login to your account.
How do I get the URL (web address) for my fundraising project?In your account, click the link that says “View this fundraising page.” You’ll be able to see the URL for your page in your browser’s page search bar once your page comes up, which you can copy and paste into a document or email to forward.
I’ve received donations in the form of checks/money orders/cash instead of receiving them online. How can I add these to my fundraising page?The best way that you can add the donations you’ve received by check/money order/cash to your goal is to make an online donation on behalf of the individuals who’ve given to your project. Just go to your page and provide the donor information, amount, and a valid credit card to do so.

Although Safe Horizon is now celebrating 35 years of exemplary service, we are still not listed on their site. We do follow financial best practices for charities as you can see on Guidestar and also by our BBB rating.
